10/1/09 I Was just taking Jolie for a walk, rounded a corner & ran into a 600lb Black Bear. Hello! Life o the mountain top.

  I'm so very glad that Jo (Jolie) is smarter than the people who come here to eat & hike. I crossed the street & ran into a very nice group from Maine & told them they probably wanted to stay on that side of the street because there was a 600 lb. Black Bear behind the place I live. Of course one of them immediately crossed the street & started to walk behind the building to "see" the Bear. His wife & sister talked him out of his folly.
