Google to the rescue! I googled 'Untidy Joseph' and came back with a blogger name Mollie's page: http://readingritingandrecipes.blogspot.com/2008/01/untidy-joseph_24.html

She says her grandpa used to call a sloppy joe an Untidy Joseph. Makes sense, a 'formal' play on words, if you will. I think that's kind of cute.

I also found a webpage about the original sloppy joe sandwich: http://www.southorange.org/articles.asp?articleID=318 It adds a little history to the sandwich.

    Does this help?

Rats! I missed it. No excuses, and no disrespect, but I was born in 1980, so I claim ignorance on my part! Hahahaha. :) Next quiz! This was fun. - Natalie
