Frozen lobster tails

  • greekgirrrl 16 years ago
Adam just came home with a 2 cases of frozen lobster tails. They were a a bonus from this guy's seafood store that Adam is wiring. Nice, huh? However, their is no weight on the box either total or otherwise. The tails are almost the same size as a dollar bill. I'd like to steam them but I don't know for how long. Too long and they'll come out tough. Also what about a time for broiling? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

Hey GG......I don't know much about lobsters...I know, I'm from New England and never acquired a taste for them...Although I do cook them for Les sometimes and this site is very helpful...The only thing I do know is that you have to let them thaw before cooking in order for the meat to not toughen up so much....Good Luck and great snag, Adam....:)

Good job and even better timing, wynne.......I was just going to throw them in the steamer frozen...that would have been a DISASTER!!

I guess I'll have them for dinner (poor Adam is 95% allergic to shellfish so none for him) tomorrow after I check out the site.

    Thanks honey.............................:0)
