***March 2019 Group Recipe Challenge--Green Foods***

I made this for the “green” portion of the recipe challenge. I'm hooked on Apple Martinis. When I saw this, I thought the Midori was an interesting addition. It did give it a sugary melon taste. I'm not sure how I feel about Midori. I think it could be overpowering if you used too much. I liked how it enhanced the green apple color of the martini. This wasn't as smooth as some apple martinis I've tried. It was a tad strong on the vodka so I made one using equal parts vodka (Grey Goose) and sour apple schnapps (Mr. Boston's Sour Apple Schnapps). It was a lot smoother and had more apple flavor. I've tried DeKuyper's sour apple and to me it has a bitter, chemical taste so that's why I used a different brand.

Wow! Now that's a gorgeous green DIZ. Beautiful picture! I too appreciate a good Apple Martini and haven't had one in forever. Good to know Mr. Boston's is preferred over Dekuyper's.

That turned out beautiful DIZ, so pretty! I think it's always good to play around with martinis because they can come out a bit strong to some. Glad you found a way to make this smooth :)
