  This definitely was part of my childhood often, probably my favorite meal growing up and now one of my kids favorite meals :). I have the recipe that my Dad used posted which uses canned biscuits, which is good in a pinch, but homemade is soooo much better! This is an amazing chicken and dumpling recipe, definitely more elevated and I liked the added cream. I did not add the flour to thicken because it was already thick enough for our liking. Great flavor and we are every bite :)

  I still haven't made a chick n dumpling soup that I like, but it's probably something you have to grow up with. I never seem to get the dumplings right, but than again I have no basis of what it's suppose to be like, lol! I love homemade chicken noodle soup though!

  Beautiful photo Michelle! My mom never made chicken and dumplings and I didn't have it till I was well into my adult years. I love it and it is comfort in a bowl for sure. I'll save this and hopefully venture homemade someday soon.

  It took me forever to get homemade dumpling right Shona. I think I was cooking them too long and they were disintegrating. Now I drop them in and only cook about 10 mins :)
