I NEED to make this! Lol :) Shona I think I may go for this tomorrow, do you think it will be fine if I convert it to the slow cooker though? Thanks for sharing Manella!

Hi Michelle, I've never made a sirloin roast in the slow cooker before. Only a pot roast.
But I'm sure the flavours and garlic studding would be fine on any cut of meat. Perhaps if you broil the top of the roast or sear it before it goes in it would work. I wouldn't add any water to the slow cooker though as it will release it's own juices and not burn off like it does in the oven. :)

PS. LoveBreezy was asking some questions in the Old IMI :)

Well you know what, I don't have a sirloin tip roast, and I don't think I've ever seen one either, or noticed it at least. Is a tri-tip roast the same? I have made those before! All I have is a beef chuck roast. Oh well, I'll just go by my usual roast recipe and keep a look out for the sirloin roast :) :) Thanks Shona!

The tri-tip is just beside the sirloin tip (on the cow that is), I think...lol ;) I have done this same roasting method with prime rib and other premium oven roasts.
But I don't see why you couldn't try out the seasoning rub and garlic studding, I bet the garlic would give it lot's of flavor! Especially with a long cook in the slow cooker.
I'll have to try it on a chuck roast in the slow cooker myself, I'm intrigued ;)

Hi Shona, the roast was just wonderful, i have not seen chuck roast in the stores in a very long time.I used to buy it and chop it up for stew meat or put it in my pasta sauce. Made it nice and tender, i think it would work just great Mommyluve2cook.
