Picnic Style Lemon Slaw by DonSpain
    ~For the June 2017 Picnic Food Challenge~

Made this yesterday to go with a spicy steak dinner. It was so light and refreshing! I love the light lemony flavor with just the right amount of kick from the red onion and radishes. I used about half a head of cabbage as it was rather a small one. And the juice and zest of a whole lemon, as again it was a small one. I sliced everything on my mandolin so it was very quick to prepare.
This salad would go well with any kind of grilled meat, but I can see this pairing very nicely with a delicate fish dinner or fish taco's. :)
I will definitely make this again soon!

    Thanks everyone :)

Michelle, they are called Bear Claw salad servers, or Salad Claws. I love them, especially for tossing salads! These were a gift from my MIL. I can't remember if she got them in Maui, or if it was a local artisan?

You're welcome Don! I'm making more of this salad tomorrow to go with roasted chicken :)
