Scottish Crusty Cheese, Apple And Jam Sannie
Recipe made for IMI2's August 2019 '7 Ingredients of less' recipe challenge.

My review: I felt so 'European' eating this delightful little sandwich. Ideal when you want a little something and something on the lighter side. I thought the jam (I used strawberry) would have made it too sweet but a little didn't and balanced nicely with the apple and cheese. I used Kerrygold butter which is a must! For a more heartier sandwich a slice of salty ham would go wonderfully.

Beautiful photo, LindaLMT! Looks like a tasty sandwich. I'll bet it would be good with ham.

My Moms favorite snack! Her parents came here from England and I remember my grandma would make it all the time with afternoon tea. It was always thinly sliced-toasted white bread, raspberry jam and thinly sliced cheddar cheese. Always opened faced. I love the idea of adding apple! It looks great Linda and the ham would definitely make it more of a lunch type sandwich. :)
