Bridal Shower

  I have not been to a bridal shower in YEARS! The daughter of my best friend from high school is getting married, and I am throwing a bridal shower for her, March 7. I am having a brunch shower. And, all the food needs to be made ahead, for the most part, as they live an hour away, and the shower will be at their house, instead of everyone else driving to mine. I can use their oven a little that morning, but, don't want to have to bake much at that point.
  
  Any recipe suggestions? But, what I need more than that, are activities! Does anyone know of some fun shower games, or, has anyone been to a shower where they did something fun and different?
