My kitchen horror story....

  I once was cooking bacon in the microwave to save time... I usually set the microwave on 4 minutes but instade punshed in 4 hours ... in the meantime I went outside into the garage where my husband was working on a car and forgot all about the bacon... few hours later I went inside and smoke was everywhere, smoke detectors going off (which I couldnt hear) and the microwave still running I quickly shut it off and to my surprise the bacon got so hot I guess and just completly melted nothing was on the plate but liquid grease and nothing solid....
