    Thanks for starting this group, FireChick. I hope it becomes and stay active. I'm always looking for ways to maximize my cooking time. I've encountered several books on this topic, but the recipes are always much more complicated than I'd like to see.

    Yeah, I agree. I always keep an eye open for recipes in books or magazines, but they say 15 min meals (half the time their prep time is 15 mins...cook time is a couple hrs). I love getting idea from people on what to do with those leftovers buried in the fridge. I hope to share some recipes with you. :)

For example, I will start with a cabbage soup, then make it into a marinara sauce (use your blender or food processor to make it chunky) for spaghetti and then make it into a chilli and you probably could make some of that into a meatloaf and start another cycle. Now you don't have to have this sequence one right after another. You can store and then skip a day or so before going onto the next meal change...
