A hello

  • divinelee 17 years ago
Happy to see a historical food group! I’ve become a lover of historical recipes after researching Scottish food out of curiosity. I’d be involved in the SCA if I could find a group near by. I’m a cook, pretty handy with a needle and thread, and a belly dancer, my husband is somewhat of a hobbyist weapons historian. The simple but great foods that have been all but forgotten, what fed and bred our forefathers, that’s what I’m hoping to find and keep cooking for my family/and share here as I find them. I hope to be welcome here.

I think there is one in Texarkana which shouldn't be too far away from you.

Their website seems to be down, but the page above lists a contact and I know he has a myspace page that is current so he is still around. Maybe he can give you all the information to join up again.

I always loved the SCA, but let my membership expire. Once I'm healthy again, I'm battling Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia, I'll be able to get out more in the public.
