Hello Friday!

Hello everyone! It is another nice sunny day and just as I said to Karen we will have more rain coming our way this weekend. I am going to visit a dear old friend in the hospital today. Poor guy fell and shattered several vertebra. He is in dreadful pain. They are giving him morphine and it isn't helping. They are considering operating however, it is a dicey operation and they have already warned him he might die either way. All the nerve endings around his spine area are screaming and his legs go numb on him. I will try and cheer him up as he is very down in the dumps. Den will be having BBQed rib eye steak for dinner with oven fries and I am not sure what I am going to have at the moment. I will check in later gators.
Tina, Try to keep moving and do what the doctors say O.K. HUGS))) Glad to hear Liv will be off for awhile to help her back heal. I hope the deep massage helps.

Janet, Sending all the best of luck for your Mom's garage sale tomorrow. I know it is quite a lot of work and it is very nice of you and Jim to be there to organize and help. Maybe when it is over tomorrow you can cross the boarder and go to that restaurant you like there as a celebration for a job well done.

    Wishing everyone a Happy TGIF!

Oh dear, so sorry to hear about your friend Joce! That's so sad, how a fall can do so much damage. Prayers sent to him, I hope he can feel less pain soon and that he pulls through. My SIL's mom fell down the stairs recently and she was in the hospital for a long time. They got her into a Condo that has Nursing staff (can't remember what it is called, assisted living I think?) And are fixing up her house to sell. She is only 65 but has osteoporosis, she can't walk without a walker now. :(

    Happy Birthday to Wayne!

Oh Tina, you and Liv both need some TLC! Take care you guys :)

I took the dogs to the dog park this morning and spent a few hours there, I should have packed a picnic as it was a beautiful day. I haven't gone there in ages. I mentioned before (I think) that it is several hundred acres with ponds, lakes, forested trails, a canyon, paved trails and a huge river-all off leash for the dogs! I walked through quite a bit of it and stopped along the river for awhile and then let the dogs swim in the lake. I ran my heart out in the forest trail as I could have sworn I heard a large mammal barreling up the bank after I heard a large splash. My first thought was a Bear fishing then I remembered hearing on the news about a cougar in the area. I ran so fast, jumping over fallen trees and having tree branches whipping me in the face, the dogs were ahead of me and they were running fast too so I just followed them, going off trail as I figured they would get to me safety! Lol. I did not turn around to see if it chased me, but I'm sure if it did chase me I wouldn't be here typing right now! I told Pete and he couldn't stop laughing, he said he would have loved to have seen me run like that, lol! He said I probably scared whatever it was anyway, ;)

I have Pork Chops marinating but I think we'll have pizza instead as Colter is at a sleepover, so I'll save it for when he's home tomorrow.

Have a great evening everyone! Nighty Night!

Wow on your friend's fall, Joce. I hope everything turns out well. Nerve injuries can be tricky. It must have been quite a fall.

Shona, a walk in the park can be fun but not with unexplained crashing noises behind you. If it is any consolation, a cougar would have been on you before you heard it. They are quiet and sleath-like. Wayne saw a bear in our lane, I hope NOT to be the vicinity of one, esp. a mother with cubs.

Hi Laurie. Bonfire parties are fun! Hope she had a good time.

We went to Springfield today. I was happy the arthritis behaved so I could walk easily. Natch we went to Bass Pro. They have changed to LED lighting so you can take pictures of the naturals scenery. Bough ponchos so when we attend another rain soaked auction.

Hi to all. have a good day.
