Cinnamon pie crust - by peetabear

Made this dough last night and put it to bed in the fridge. Rolled it out this morning using a rolling mat with size circles on it, lightly floured. It's in the pie pan chilling. Need a top crust for my pie, so I'll make the dough again to retest my results.

Easy squeezy. Top dough crust rolled out perfect. Had enough trimmings left over to make decorations on top of the crust.

Pie still has a half hour to cook. Results follow the tongue in palate test.

Pie turned out wonderful. I could smell the cinnamon when the crust was still in dough fashion but in a taste test I'm not sure I could taste any cinnamon. A lot of flavors going on in the pie. Could have been well camoflaged. The crust was nice and flaky. I'll try to concentrate on tasting the crust flavor more, next time I make it.
Why, you ask? Because over half the pie was consumed by a ravenous mother. She was hovering over it shielding my view from what she had done.
All she said was "Good, crust too".
The senior termite waddled her watermelon stomach to the bedroom where I'm sure she's dreaming now of cinnamon sprinkles or being chased by an apple monster.
