i just tried drizzling maple syrup into my regular balsamic/garlic vinaigrette dressing and it was AMAZING...

drizzled it over some frisse, pears, shredded green apple with crumbled blue cheese...
    HEAVEN!!...

    highly recommended!...

    mayonnaise...creamy dressings...

personally- i think mayo is kind of gross...
with very few exceptions like on a BLT or potato and tuna salad...

but i think that it is possible to substitute greek yoghurt for mayo or sour cream when it comes to dressings or dips...
the flavour is still really great and you have the thickness/richness that mayo or sour cream have because greek yoghurt is SO THICK and rich, but MUCH better for you health-wise...

i don't know about the rest of the country- but FAJE greek yoghurt has actually become a HUGE trend in NYC...you can even get it at the regular grocery now with no trouble...
and i have found that the light on (0%) is just as good as the regular...surprise!...lol...

so this is pretty good news for us new yorkers...

i am planning to experiment with some creamy dressings to test out this theory!...
*good excuse to try some new stuff!

would be interested if anyone has already tried some substitutions like this....
