Sh-panko-ed Shrooms

I love mushrooms for breakfast, lunch or dinner. These crispy delights are best served right away with a garlic aioli or ranch dressing as an appetizer, a side dish or as a light lunch with some tossed salad greens. Bon appetit!

Dak Golden Egg Bread

This is my favorite all time recipe from the Dak breadmakers. I had about 3 Daks plus several other brands through out the years. This egg bread recipe is one I make using the dough cycle ( or by hand ) and then make round or braided loaves, rolls etc. It always comes out light, fluffy and delightful!
Perfect for making Challah bread too

English Muffins

English muffins are so easy, I had no idea. We start with a yeast dough that is soft and soupy, let this rise until the dough collapses on itself, add another 2 cups flour and 3 T. soft butter, knead the dough a little, cut with muffin rings "or" use empty and clean cans cut into thirds. Just be careful of the edges. I bought my English muffin rings at a local kitchen store but the tin circles can be easily purchased online at King Arthur Flour. You let the dough rise in the rings and bake on a hot griddle until golden brown on both sides.

Roast Duck With Orange Sauce

This is my favourite way of preparing duck. It's crispy and succulent, (and messy), although lots of the fat is removed before cooking.

Raisin Syrup Sourdough Swirls

These are slightly sweet rolls that are raised with both a sourdough starter and conventional yeast, filled with a blend of raisins, pumpkin pie spice and a drizzle of golden syrup before being rolled twice into a decadent spiral. Each bite is a surprise!

Filling amounts will vary according to personal taste, so aren't included in NI.
