Hearty Slow-cooker Stew

A very hearty one-pot-meal recipe I found on a Motoring website of all places, it sounded good so I tried it out and loved it. This is my version as the original had no measurements at all.

Jeremys Favourite Chicken Corn And Cauliflower Pies

This is probably Jaremy's favourite thing i make. Maybe. ...he likes just about everything i do, but these are right up there. : ) these are free-form pies, so they look interesting/rustic. Real yummy and freeze well.

Uni-corned Beef

Nothing real spectacular to look at but its cheap and easy. Boil up some veggies and mash some potato and it feeds the family AND you'll have left-over meat for sammiches the next day.
These sort of old-fashioned meals are becoming uncommon i think.

Rojoes Minhota - Try To Say It If You Are Not Portuguese

This dish was served in years gone by, in winter, when the farmers slaughtered their pigs. The meat had to be fresh, and the only way to preserve it was in salt. Nowadays, fresh pork is widely available, so it can be made al year round. It is traditional from the region where I live, and in fact, people travel great distances to come and enjoy it in Ponte de lima, where it is particularly famous. Usually served with Arroz de Sarrabulho (a rice dish made amongst other things, with the pig's blood), I prefer to give it a miss and serve it with sautéed or roast potatoes.

Egg And Bacon Flan Quiche

This recipe will give you something similar to a Quiche Lorraine - however it has been traditional in the UK to make flans like this for centuries. Easy enough for the kids to make, this can be a main or side dish, used for picnics or parties.
