Creamy Gelatin Dessert Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (6 oz) package lemon gelatin
  • 1 c whipping cream
  • 2 tbsps all-purpose flour
  • 1 (20 oz) can crushed pineapple
  • 2 c miniature marshmallows
  • 4 large ripe bananas, cut into 1/4 inch slices
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 2 tbsps butter or margarine
  • 2 c boiling water
  • 1/2 c sliced walnuts
  • 2 c cold water

Directions
  • Step #1 In a bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
  • Step #2 Stir in marshmallows until melted.
  • Step #3 Stir in bananas.
  • Step #4 Drain pineapple, reserving juice.
  • Step #5 Add pineapple & cold water to gelatin mixture; mix well.
  • Step #6 Pour into a 13-in.
  • Step #7 x 9-in.
  • Step #8 x 2-in.
  • Step #9 pan; chill until set.
  • Step #10 In a small saucepan, mix the sugar & flour.
  • Step #11 Gradually stir in the reserved pineapple juice.
  • Step #12 Add butter; bring to a boil.
  • Step #13 Cook & stir for 2 mins.
  • Step #14 Remove from the heat; cool to about room temp, about 35-40 mins.
  • Step #15 Whip the cream; fold into pineapple juice mixture.
  • Step #16 Spread over gelatin.
  • Step #17 Sprinkle top with nuts.
  • Step #18 Chill for 1-2 hrs.
