Pizza Parlor Pasta Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tbsps grated parmesan cheese .
  • 1 1/3 c spaghetti sauce .
  • 3 tbsps finely sliced green peppers .
  • 1/2 c shredded colby-monterey jack cheese, divided .
  • 1/3 lb ground Italian sausage .
  • 1/3 c cottage cheese .
  • 1/2 small onion, finely sliced .
  • 1 c uncooked medium pasta shells .
  • 1/2 c shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese, divided

Directions
  • Step #1 Cook pasta according to package directions.
  • Step #2 Meanwhile, crumble the sausage into a skillet; add onion & green pepper.
  • Step #3 Cook over med-heat/flame until meat is no longer pink.
  • Step #4 Drain.
  • Step #5 Stir in spaghetti sauce, cottage cheese, 1/4 c Mozzarella cheese & 1/4 c Colby-Monterey Jack cheese.
  • Step #6 Drain pasta & stir in theto sausage mixture.
  • Step #7 Transfer mixture into a 1 quart baking dish coated with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Step #8 Sprinkle top with remaining shredded cheeses.
  • Step #9 Top with Parmesan cheese.
  • Step #10 Bake, uncovered at 350 for 5 to 10 mins until cheese is melted.
