Ingredients
1 (15 oz) package put in the fridged pie crusts .
1 egg yolk .
3/4 c sugar .
chocolate curls .
1 egg .
1 c ground almonds .
sweetened whipped cream .
1 tsp lemon juice .
1 (12 oz) package frozen raspberries, without syrup, thawed .
2/3 c sugar .
Filling .
Sauce .
Garnish .
1/2 c butter, softened .
1 whole raspberries .
1 (6 oz) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
Step #1 Prepare pie crust according to pkg.
Step #2 directions for two-crust pie using 10 inch tart pan with removable bottom or 9 inch pie pan.
Step #3 Place 1 prepared crust in pan; press in bottom & up sides of pan.
Step #4 Trim edges if necessary.
Step #5 Place cookie sheet in oven to preheat.
Step #6 Heat oven to 375.
Step #7 In small saucepan, melt chocolate chips & 2 T.
Step #8 of the butter over low heat/flame, stirring constantly until smooth.
Step #9 In medium bowl, mix remaining 6 T.
Step #10 of butter & 2/3 c of sugar; beat until light & fluffy.
Step #11 Add almonds, egg, egg yolk & melted chocolate; mix well.
Step #12 Spread mixture evenly in bottom of crust-lined pan.
Step #13 To make lattice top, cut 2nd crust into 1/2 inch wide strips.
Step #14 Arrange strips in lattice design over chocolate mixture.
Step #15 Trime & seal edges.
Step #16 Place tart on preheated cookie sheet.
Step #17 Bake at 375 for 45-50 mins or until crust is golden brown.
Step #18 If necessary, cover edge of crust with strips of foil wrap during last 10-15 mins of baking to prevent excessive browning.
Step #19 Cool completely.
Step #20 Meanwhile, in mix container or food processor/blender with metal mix, mix raspberries at high speed until smooth.
Step #21 Place strainer over small saucepan; pour berries into strainer.
Step #22 Press berries with back of spoon through strainer to remove seeds; discard seeds.
Step #23 Add 3/4 c sugar & lemon juice; mix well.
Step #24 Bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly.
Step #25 Reduce heat to medium-low; boil 3 mins, stirring constantly.
Step #26 Cool; put in the fridge until serving time.
Step #27 Garnish crostata with whipped cream, chocolate curls & whole raspberries.
Step #28 Serve with raspberry sauce.
Step #29 Store in refrigerator.
