Chocolate Cookie Crust Recipe

Ingredients

5 tbsps unsalted butter, melted & slightly cooled .
30 chocolate wafers (Nabisco Famous Chocolate Wafers, to yield about 1 1/2 c crumbs) .
1/8 tsp salt .
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

Directions

Step #1 Put the cookies in the container of a food processor/blender; process them until they are finely ground.
Step #2 Transfer crumbs to a mixing bowl; mix crumbs, salt, butter, & vanilla; stir until the crumbs are moistened.
Step #3 Press mixture evenly across the bottom of a 9-inch pie plate & all the way up the sides of the pan; pack tightly so crust is even & compacted.
Step #4 Bake in a 350° oven for 6-8 mins or until crisp.
Step #5 Let cool completely before filling.
Step #6 May wrap crust in plastic wrap & freeze for 1 month.
