Dale's Swedish Meatballs Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tbsps Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp instant coffee granules
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 c bread crumbs
  • 3/4 c shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tbsps all-purpose flour
  • 2 c water
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 onion, sliced
  •  
  • 3 tbsps sour cream, or more to taste
  • 2 tsps beef bouillon

Directions
  • Step #1 In a medium bowl, Worcestershire sauce, onion, bread crumbs, garlic, mix together the ground beef, eggs, green pepper & Cheddar cheese until well mixed.
  • Step #2 Form into walnut-sized balls.
  • Step #3 Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Step #4 Add meatballs, & brown evenly.
  • Step #5 Remove from the skillet, & set aside.
  • Step #6 Stir flour & instant coffee into the pan drippings.
  • Step #7 Add beef bouillon & water to the pan, & mix well.
  • Step #8 Bring to a boil, & allow to thicken.
  • Step #9 Stir in sour cream.
  • Step #10 Return meatballs to the skillet, & let them simmer in the sauce for 20 to 40 mins.
  • Step #11 Serve as an appetizer, or over rice or egg noodles as a main course.
