Old-fashioned Porridge Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3/4 tsp cinnamon .
  • 3 c water .
  • 1/4 lb raisins .
  • 1/2 tbsp ground ginger .
  • 1/4 c sliced walnuts .
  • 1/3 c maple syrup .
  • 1/4 c molasses .
  • 1/4 c brown sugar, packed .
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg .
  • 1 1/2 tsps salt .
  • 2 eggs .
  • 1 c milk .
  • 2 c long-cooking oats, uncooked

Directions
  • Step #1 In a saucepan, add water & salt; heat until boiling.
  • Step #2 Add in oats;cook for 5 mins; cool.
  • Step #3 In a large mixing bowl, mix together the remaining ingredients; add in oats; mix to mix.
  • Step #4 Pour mixture into a greased 13x9 inch pan.
  • Step #5 Bake, uncovered, in a 350 degree oven for 2 hrs.
  • Step #6 Serve hot.
