Steak In Pepper Cream Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 tsp salt .
  • 2 (12 oz) trimmed New York strip steaks (may use sirloin or any favorite cut of beef steak) .
  • 2 tbsps steak sauce .
  • 2 tbsps water .
  • 1 1/2-2 tbsps freshly cracked black peppercorns .
  • 1 c whipping cream

Directions
  • Step #1 Place a 10 inch cast iron skillet over med-heat/flame untill hot.
  • Step #2 Sprinkle top salt in skillet.
  • Step #3 Place steaks over salt.
  • Step #4 Cook 1 to 2 mins on each side or until browned.
  • Step #5 Remove from skillet.
  • Step #6 Combine pepper, steak sauce & water in hot skillet.
  • Step #7 Cook over med-heat/flame, stirring constantly, to loosen brown bits on the bottom of the skillet.
  • Step #8 Stir in whipping cream Bring to a boil, reduce heat & let simmer, stirring constantly 3 to 4 mins or until slightly thickened.
  • Step #9 Add steak & let simmer for 5 mins or until desired doneness, stirring occasionaly.
