Oats 'n Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookie Squares Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3/4 c walnuts, sliced .
  • 1 c milk chocolate chips .
  • 2/3 c caramel ice cream topping .
  • 1 (18 oz) package put in the fridged chocolate chip cookie dough, broken up .
  • 1 c quick-cooking rolled oats .
  • 1 tsp vanilla .
  • 5 tbsps flour

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step #2 In a large bowl, mix crumbled cookie dough, & oats.
  • Step #3 Mix well.
  • Step #4 Reserve 1/2 c of the cookie dough mixture.
  • Step #5 Press remaining dough mixture in the bottom of an ungreased 9-inch square baking dish.
  • Step #6 Bake at 350 for 10-12 mins or until cookie dough puffs & appears dry.
  • Step #7 Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix flour, caramel topping & vanilla.
  • Step #8 Blend well.
  • Step #9 Remove crust from oven.
  • Step #10 Sprinkle top walnuts & chocolate chips evenly over partially baked crust.
  • Step #11 Drizzle evenly with caramel mixture.
  • Step #12 Crumble reserved 1/2 c cookie dough mixture over caramel.
  • Step #13 Return to oven.
  • Step #14 Bake an extra 20-25 mins or until golden brown.
  • Step #15 Cool 10 mins.
  • Step #16 Run knife around sides of pan to loosen.
  • Step #17 Cool 1 1/2 hrs or until completely cooled.
  • Step #18 Cut into bars.
