Print Recipe

Ingredients
  • cilantro .
  • 2 green onions, sliced (use all of it minus the roots) .
  • 1 garlic clove, minced .
  • garlic .
  • DOUGH .
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated .
  • 1/2 lb daikon radishes or spinach or cabbage (sliced fine or shredded) .
  • 1 pinch salt .
  • 1 onion, sliced .
  • 1 c water .
  • MEAT FILLING .
  • 2 tbsps fresh cilantro, sliced .
  • 1 lb extra lean ground beef .
  • green onions .
  • 3 c all-purpose flour .
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz) can sliced tomatoes .
  • Tsal

Directions
  • Step #1 Mix flour & the water; knead & form into a ball.
  • Step #2 Sometimes I like to add extra spices to the dough so it's not so bland.
  • Step #3 Let rest covered with a wet towel or plastic wrap for 30 min.
  • Step #4 Combine the filling.
  • Step #5 Bring a large pot of water to the boil.
  • Step #6 Cut dough into 12 - 18 pieces & roll this into small flat circles.
  • Step #7 Place a spoonful of filling on each dough circle, folding over & crimping to seal.
  • Step #8 Place momos in a steamer & steam on high for 30 min.
  • Step #9 To make the Tsal, just mix the ingredients in the amount needed.
  • Step #10 I've never measured, just thrown the stuff together, so I have no exact measurements for all of it.
  • Step #11 For the tomatoes, I always Use Hunts Diced Tomatoes with Sweet Onions.
  • Step #12 (I'm lazy :D).
