Coffee Walnut Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 3/4 c all-purpose flour .
  • 1 tbsp coffee extract .
  • 2 tsps baking powder .
  • 4 eggs .
  • 3/4 c granulated sugar .
  • 2 c walnuts (sliced fine) .
  • 1 tbsp coffee extract .
  • Cake .
  • 3/4 c butter (softened) .
  • 3/4 c butter (softened) .
  • 1 lb powdered sugar .
  • Icing

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step #2 For cake, cream butter & sugar.
  • Step #3 Add eggs one at a time beating after each.
  • Step #4 Add flour & baking powder.
  • Step #5 Add extract.
  • Step #6 Pour batter into two prepared cake pans & bake for 30-35 mins or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Step #7 Cool cake completely before icing.
  • Step #8 For icing, cream butter.
  • Step #9 Add powder sugar & extract & whip until fluffy.
  • Step #10 Place sliced walnuts on waxed paper.
  • Step #11 When cake is completely cool, ice the middle & sides.
  • Step #12 Pick up cake holding the top & bottom between hands & roll the sides in the sliced walnuts.
  • Step #13 Finish the top this with icing & garnish with walnut halves.
