6 large calimyrna dried figs, stems trimmed, quartered .
1/4 c sliced walnuts .
1/2 tsp kosher salt .
2 tbsps thinly sliced green onion tops
Directions
Step #1 Add figs to the container or a food processor/blender; finely chop.
Step #2 Add in the cream cheese; process until mixd.
Step #3 Add in the walnuts & salt; pulse just to mix.
Step #4 Scrape mixture into a bowl.
Step #5 Add in the scallions, if desired; stir this to mix.
Step #6 Note--to finely chop figs in a food processor/blender, reconstitute them in boiling water for 10 mins, drain, lightly brush or spray the inside of the processor bowl & metal blade with vegetable oil; if the figs are unusually dry, & blot dry before chopping.
