Step #1 Preheat oven to 375F degrees.
Step #2 Cook broccoli according to package directions.
Step #3 (I use a little more)This recipe can be made with asparagus instead of broccoli.
Step #4 Mix margarine & flour together in saucepan.
Step #5 Cook briefly over med-heat/flame.
Step #6 Blend in chicken broth,stirring constantly until thickened & smooth.
Step #7 Stir in mushrooms & their liquid.
Step #8 Spice up to taste.
Step #9 (I use garlic powder & season salt.
Step #10 Also I make twice as much sauce).
Step #11 Place cooked broccoli pieces in a shallow pan.
Step #12 Cover up with sliced chicken & pour mushroom sauce over all.
Step #13 Top with parsley & bread crumbs.
Step #14 ( I use more bread crumbs than recipe calls for.
Step #15 ).
Step #16 Bake,15 to 25 mins, uncovered, or until bubbly & brown on top.
