Cauliflower Onion Bake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3/4 c shredded cheddar cheese .
  • 2 (10 oz) packages onions in cream sauce .
  • 8 oz French-fried onions, crumbled .
  • 1/4 c toasted slivered almonds .
  • 1 tbsp snipped parsley .
  • 10 oz frozen cauliflower, thawed

Directions
  • Step #1 Cut cauliflower into bite-sized pieces.
  • Step #2 Prepare creamed onions according to package directions.
  • Step #3 In saucepan, place 1 1/2 c water, 2 tbsps butter & the 2 packages frozen onions.
  • Step #4 Cover up & bring to boil over medium-high heat.
  • Step #5 Reduce heat & let simmer, covered, 4 mins, stirring every once in awhile.
  • Step #6 Remove from heat.
  • Step #7 Stir until sauce thickens.
  • Step #8 Add cauliflower, shredded cheese, almonds & parsley into creamed onions.
  • Step #9 Turn into 1 1/2 quart casserole.
  • Step #10 Bake, uncovered, in 350° oven for 35 mins or until bubbly & heated through.
  • Step #11 Top with French-fried onions.
  • Step #12 Bake 5 mins more.
  • Step #13 Garnish with a few extra French-fried onions at serving time.
