Uncle Bill's Corn On The Cob - Microwave Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 ear of corn .
  • plastic wrap, enough to wrap the cob completely .
  • sprinkling salt .
  • 1 tbsp butter

Directions
  • Step #1 Remove husk & all corn hair & discard.
  • Step #2 Wrap each corn on the cob in (microwave suitable) plastic wrap to seal completely.
  • Step #3 Microwave on HIGH (full power) for 2 1/2 mins.
  • Step #4 Turn corn over 1/2 turn & continue to microwave on HIGH (full power) for another 1 1/2 mins.
  • Step #5 Remove from microwave & let rest for about 2 to 3 mins.
  • Step #6 Using a sharp knife, slice the plastic wrap, being very careful when you remove the wrap because of the steam.
  • Step #7 Serve with butter & sprinkle with salt if desired.
  • Step #8 If you are microwaving 2 corn on the cob at the same time, Microwave on HIGH (full power) for 3 mins.
  • Step #9 Then turn the corn over 1/2 turn & continue to Microwave on HIGH (full power) for another 2 1/2 mins, then let rest for 2 to 3 mins.
  • Step #10 Yellow corn is also very good if it is nice & young & not old kernels unless you prefer old corn.
