Peanut Butter Luster Pie Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2-3 tsps milk .
  • 2 tbsps sliced peanuts .
  • 1 (12 oz) container frozen whipped topping, thawed .
  • Chocolate Layer .
  • Garnish .
  • 1/2 c semi-sweet chocolate chips .
  • 1 put in the fridged pie crust (from 15 oz. pkg.) .
  • Topping .
  • Filling .
  • 1 c frozen whipped topping, thawed .
  • 1 c firmly packed brown sugar .
  • 1 c butter .
  • 2-3 tsps water .
  • 1 c peanut butter .
  • 1/4 c powdered sugar .
  • 1 1/2 tsps corn syrup .
  • 1 tbsp butter .
  • 1 tbsp butter .
  • 1/2 c semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat oven to 450.
  • Step #2 Prepare pie crust according to pkg.
  • Step #3 directions for one crust baked shell using 9 inch pie pan.
  • Step #4 Bake for 9-11 mins or until light golden brown.
  • Step #5 Cool completely.
  • Step #6 In small saucepan over low heat/flame, melt 1/2 c chocolate chips & 1 T.
  • Step #7 butter with 2 t.
  • Step #8 water, stirring constantly until smooth.
  • Step #9 Blend in powdered sugar until smooth.
  • Step #10 Add extra water if necessary for desired spreading consistency.
  • Step #11 Spread mixture over bottom & up sides of cooled baked shell.
  • Step #12 Refrigerate.
  • Step #13 In medium saucepan, mix 1 c butter & brown sugar.
  • Step #14 Cook over med-heat/flame until butter is melted & mixture is smooth, stirring frequently.
  • Step #15 Refrigerate 10 mins.
  • Step #16 In large bowl, beat peanut butter & brown sugar mixture at lowish speed until mixed.
  • Step #17 Beat 1 min at medium-high speed.
  • Step #18 Add 12 oz.
  • Step #19 whipped topping; beat 1 extra min at lowish speed or until mixture is smooth & creamy.
  • Step #20 Pour over chocolate layer.
  • Step #21 Refrigerate.
  • Step #22 In small saucepan over low heat/flame, melt 1/2 c chocolate chips & 1 T.
  • Step #23 butter with 2 t.
  • Step #24 milk & cornsyrup, stirring constantly until smooth.
  • Step #25 Add extra milk if necessary for desired spreading consistency.
  • Step #26 Spoon & carefully spread topping mixture evenly over filling.
  • Step #27 Refrigerate at least 2 hrs to set topping.
  • Step #28 Garnish with whipped topping & peanuts.
