Easy Moroccan-style Chicken Breasts Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 tsps cumin .
  • 3 tbsps liquid honey .
  • seasoning salt (can use regular salt also) .
  • 3-4 tbsps oil .
  • 2 1/2 c salsa .
  • 3/4 c slivered almonds .
  • 1 medium onion, sliced .
  • 1 tbsp fresh minced garlic (or to taste) .
  • pepper .
  • 1/3 c currants (or more if desired) .
  • 2 lbs boneless chicken breasts .
  • 1 tsp cinnamon .
  • 1/2 c water

Directions
  • Step #1 Spice up chicken pieces with salt & pepper, then brown in oil on all sides.
  • Step #2 Transfer the chicken in a greased baking dish.
  • Step #3 In the same frypan, saute onion & garlic; spoon over the chicken in the dish.
  • Step #4 In a bowl, honey, water, mix the salsa, currants, cumin & cinnamon; pour over the chicken; mix with clean hands to slighty coat the chicken.
  • Step #5 If you are adding in green bell pepper, just mix in with the salsa/honey mixture.
  • Step #6 Cover up & bake for about 45-50 mins, or until chicken is done.
  • Step #7 Sprinkle top with slivered almonds.
  • Step #8 Delicious.
