Beef Stew With Cinnamon Recipe

Ingredients

3 carrots, sliced thin .
3 celery ribs, sliced .
1/8 tsp thyme .
1 green pepper, sliced .
2 tbsps olive oil .
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes .
2 c tomato sauce .
1/4 c red wine .
1 white onion, sliced .
2 lbs boneless beef chuck, cut into 1-inch pieces .
1/4 tsp rosemary .
1/2 tsp cinnamon .
3 c tomatoes with juice, sliced .
1 garlic clove, minced .
1/8 tsp oregano .
2 tbsps parsley, minced

Directions

Step #1 In a large pot heat oil.
Step #2 Add meat & sear on all sides.
Step #3 Remove & set aside.
Step #4 In pot pour off fat.
Step #5 Add onion, green pepper, celery, & garlic.
Step #6 Sautee about 3mins.
Step #7 Add tomatoes with juice, tomato sauce, wine, thyme, oregano, rosemary, cinnamon & redpepper flakes.
Step #8 Bring to a boil.
Step #9 Add meat to simmering sauce, reduce heat & cover.
Step #10 Simmer low for 2 hrs.
Step #11 Add carrots & let simmer 30mins longer.
Step #12 Serve.
