Muscovado Marinated Chicken Sticks With Ginger & Garlic Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 cm gingerroot, grated (fresh) .
  • 3 tbsps sherry wine .
  • 3 garlic cloves, finely sliced .
  • 500 g boneless skinless chicken breasts .
  • 2 tbsps muscovado sugar (dark) .
  • 2 tbsps dark soy sauce .
  • wooden skewers, soaked for 40 mins before using

Directions
  • Step #1 Mix the marinade ingredients together.
  • Step #2 Chop the chicken into 1 inch cubes.
  • Step #3 Put the chicken into the marinade & leave overnight in the fridge.
  • Step #4 You can marinade this a couple of hrs before, but it tastes better if left overnight.
  • Step #5 Thread the chicken onto the skewers, leaving a space between each cube.
  • Step #6 Cook on the BBQ for approx 5 mins each side or until cooked through.
  • Step #7 You can also grill these in the oven on 210 degrees C as well, they take about the same amount of time for each side.
  • Step #8 This is nice served with steamed rice & fresh crunchy green beans.
