Ingredients
12 egg roll wraps .
1/4 c soy sauce .
2 tsps sliced fresh ginger .
oil (for frying) .
4 green onions, sliced .
1 (16 oz) bag shredded cabbage & carrot coleslaw mix (not quite the whole bag) .
1 tsp sesame oil .
2 garlic cloves, minced .
1/2-1 lb ground pork (or chicken or beef) .
1 tsp water .
1 tsp salt .
1 tsp sugar .
1 egg, beaten with
Directions
Step #1 Brown pork with ginger & garlic in pan; drain any grease.
Step #2 Mix salt, sugar, soy sauce & sesame oil.
Step #3 Add to pork & mix well.
Step #4 In large bowl mix cabbage mix & green onions.
Step #5 Pour hot meat over vegetables & stir well.
Step #6 Let cool slightly.
Step #7 Lay wrap in front of you so that it looks like a diamond.
Step #8 Place 3 tbsps pork filling in center of eggroll wrapper.
Step #9 Fold bottom point up over filling & roll once.
Step #10 Fold in right & left points.
Step #11 Brush beaten egg on top point.
Step #12 Finish rolling.
Step #13 Set aside & repeat with remaining filling.
Step #14 Heat 2-3 inches oil in large frying pan to very hot (350º).
Step #15 Fry a few eggrolls in pan at a time, 2-3 mins per side.
Step #16 Drain on paper towels.
Step #17 Serve with sweet & sour sauce, plulm sauce, hoisin sauce or jalapeno pepper jelly.
