Ingredients
500 ml milk .
250 g jaggery .
1/4 tsp cardamom powder .
1 tbsp raisins .
5 tbsps ghee .
1 tbsp cashew nuts (sliced) .
250 g wheat
Directions
Step #1 Clean the wheat, wash two to three times with plenty of water & then soak overnight.
Step #2 Drain & then grind into a coarse paste.
Step #3 Grate the jaggery & set aside.
Step #4 Heat the ghee in a heavy-based pan, add the ground wheat & cook on a low heat for ten to fifteen mins.
Step #5 Add the milk & cook, stirring continuously.
Step #6 If the mixture becomes too dry, add a little water.
Step #7 Add the grated jaggery & stir until it has dissolved.
Step #8 Add the green cardamom powder & half the quantity of cashew nuts & raisins.
Step #9 Cook until the mixture is thick & of pouring consistency.
Step #10 Serve hot or at about room temp, garnished with the remaining cashew nuts & raisins.
