Chocolate Chess Tartlets Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 tbsps cornmeal
  • 1 1/2 c sugar
  • 1/2 c butter, melted
  • 2 tsps white vinegar
  • 5 (2.1-oz.) packages frozen mini phyllo pastry shells, thawed
  •  Garnish: thawed frozen whipped topping
  • 3 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  •  Dash of salt
  • 3 tbsps unsweetened cocoa

Directions
  • Step #1 Stir together first 7 ingredients until mixed.
  • Step #2 Add eggs, stirring well.
  • Step #3 Spoon about 1 heaping tsp.
  • Step #4 chocolate mixture into each pastry shell, & place on 2 large ungreased baking sheets.
  • Step #5 Bake at 350° for 25 mins or just until set.
  • Step #6 Remove to wire racks, & let cool completely.
  • Step #7 Garnish, if desired.
  • Step #8 Note: For testing purposes only, we used Athens Mini Fillo Shells.
  • Step #9 Store tartlets in an airtight container up to 3 days.
