Cream Cheese Danish Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 large egg, separated
  • 2 (8-oz) cans put in the fridged crescent rolls
  • 3/4 c sliced pecans
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 (8-oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  •  Powdered sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 Unroll 1 can of rolls; press into a lightly greased 13- x 9-inch pan.
  • Step #2 Beat egg yolk & next 4 ingredients at medium speed with an electric mixer until mixed; spread over crescent roll dough in pan.
  • Step #3 Unroll remaining can of crescent rolls on a sheet of wax paper; press into a 13- x 9-inch rectangle.
  • Step #4 Place over cream cheese mixture.
  • Step #5 Whisk egg white; brush over roll dough.
  • Step #6 Sprinkle top with pecans.
  • Step #7 Bake at 375° for 25 mins.
  • Step #8 Sprinkle top with sugar, & cool in pan on a wire rack.
  • Step #9 Cut into squares.
