Croissant French Toast With Fresh Strawberry Syrup Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3/4 c milk
  • 4 large day-old croissants
  •  Sweetened Whipped Cream (optional)
  •  Fresh Strawberry Syrup
  • 2 tbsps butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tbsps powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions
  • Step #1 Slice croissants in half lengthwise.
  • Step #2 Whisk together milk, eggs, & vanilla.
  • Step #3 Pour into a shallow dish.
  • Step #4 Dip croissant halves into egg mixture, coating well.
  • Step #5 Melt 1 tbsp butter In a large-ish nonstick skillet over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #6 Add four croissant halves, & cook about 2 mins on each side or until golden brown.
  • Step #7 Repeat procedure with remaining butter & croissant halves.
  • Step #8 Sprinkle top with powdered sugar; top this with Sweetened Whipped Cream, if desired, & Fresh Strawberry Syrup.
