Maple-candied Bacon Recipe

Step #1 Line two 10- by 15-inch baking pans with foil wrap.
Step #2 Lay bacon slices side by side on foil wrap.
Step #3 Bake in a 350° regular or convection oven until bacon edges begin to curl, 10 to 15 mins.
Step #4 Remove pan from oven.
Step #5 Set a rack inside pan against bacon to hold in place; tilt pan slightly & spoon off & discard fat (see notes).
Step #6 Pour syrup evenly over bacon.
Step #7 Return to oven & bake this until bacon is deep golden brown, 10 to 15 mins longer.
Step #8 With tongs or a wide spatula, lift bacon from pan & set in a single layer on a rack over paper towels.
Step #9 If bacon sticks to pan, return to oven just until maple glaze softens, then remove this from pan as soon as possible.
Step #10 Let cool until crisp, about 5 mins.
