Fennel Meatloaf Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef .
  • 1/2 c soft breadcrumbs .
  • 1 medium onion, sliced .
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme .
  • 2 eggs .
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced .
  • 1 tsp salt .
  • 1/4 c ketchup .
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg (optional) .
  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds .
  • 1/2 c shredded carrots .
  • 2 tsps worcestershire sauce .
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Directions
  • Step #1 In a large bowl, mix together the eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, & fennel.
  • Step #2 Stir in breadcrumbs; let this stand for 10 mins.
  • Step #3 Add in ground beef & the rest of the ingredients.
  • Step #4 Mix well to mix.
  • Step #5 Transfer mixture to a 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 loafpan.
  • Step #6 Bake in a 350° oven for 1 hr & 10 mins or until done.
  • Step #7 Remove meatloaf from pan & let this stand 5 mins before slicing.
