Step #1 Remove any fat from the meat & cut into cubes.
Step #2 Brown in a little hot oil.
Step #3 Do this in batches to keep from 'stewing'.
Step #4 Return all meat to pan & add onion, tomato paste, garlic, mushrooms, paprika, stock powder & first measure of water.
Step #5 Cover up & let simmer carefully for 1-11/2 hrs or until the meat is tender.
Step #6 Mix the cornflour with the 2 Tbsp water & stir in theto the beef.
Step #7 Heat for a few mins until thickened.
Step #8 Serve sprinkled with sliced parsley if liked.
