Chocolate Cherry Cupcakes Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (16 oz) can vanilla frosting
  • 1 (18.25 oz) package chocolate cake mix
  • 1 1/3 c water
  • 1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 c vegetable oil

Directions
  • Step #1 In a mixing bowl, mix cake mix, water, oil & eggs; mix well.
  • Step #2 Spoon batter by 1/4 cfuls into paper-lined muffin c.
  • Step #3 Spoon a rounded tsp of pie filling onto the center of each ccake.
  • Step #4 Set remaining pie filling aside.
  • Step #5 Bake at 350 degrees F for 20-25 mins or until a toothpick inserted on an angle toward the center comes out clean.
  • Step #6 Remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Step #7 Frost ccakes; top this with one cherry from pie filling.
  • Step #8 Serve extra pie filling with ccakes or put in the fridge or another use.
