Quail Stroganoff Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 tsp pepper .
  • 1 (10 3/4 oz) can cream of mushroom soup .
  • 1/2 tsp dried rosemary .
  • 8 quail, dressed .
  • 2 tbsps butter or margarine .
  • 1/2 c dry white wine .
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano .
  • hot cooked egg noodles .
  • 1 medium onion, sliced .
  • 1 (8 oz) package sliced fresh mushrooms .
  • 1 (8 oz) container sour cream

Directions
  • Step #1 Put the quail in a lightly greased 13 x 9 inch baking dish.
  • Step #2 In a skillet, melt the butter over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #3 Add in the onion & mushrooms; stir/saute until tender.
  • Step #4 Add in the wine & next 4 ingredients; stir this to mix.
  • Step #5 Pour mixture over the quail.
  • Step #6 Bake, covered, in a 350 degree oven for 45 mins.
  • Step #7 Remove from oven; removed quail w/ tongs.
  • Step #8 Stir sour cream into drippings & return quail to mixture.
  • Step #9 Bake, uncovered, 10 mins or until done.
  • Step #10 Serve over hot cooked noodles.
