Ingredients
  • 1/4 lb sliced candied orange peel
  • 1 1/2 c white sugar
  • 1 tbsp bourbon
  • 1/2 c sliced, peeled apple
  • 1 lb sliced pecans
  • 8 oz dates, pitted & sliced
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground mace
  • 1 c butter
  • 1/2 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/4 lb candied lemon peel
  • 1 tbsp cocoa
  • 1 c golden raisins
  • 3 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 lb candied pineapple
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 3 eggs

Directions
  • Step #1 Cream together butter, sugar, & eggs.
  • Step #2 Beat in flour, mace, & cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, allspice, cocoa, & soda.
  • Step #3 Meanwhile soak candied pineapple, orange peel, & lemon peel in bourbon.
  • Step #4 Add apples, dates, pecans, raisins, & soaked fruits, & mix well.
  • Step #5 On a greased cookie sheet spoon out half-dollar size cookies, spaced 1/2 inch apart.
  • Step #6 In a preheated 350 degree (175 degrees C) oven, bake 12-15 mins.
