Paula Deen's Eggnog Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 pints milk .
  • 1 pinch nutmeg .
  • 3/4 c sugar .
  • 1/2 pint bourbon .
  • 6 eggs, separated .
  • 1 pint heavy cream .
  • 1 tbsp vanilla

Directions
  • Step #1 In a bowl beat the egg yolks with the 1/2 c of sugar until thick.
  • Step #2 In another bowl beat the egg whites with 1/4 c of sugar until thick.
  • Step #3 In a third bowl beat the cream until thick.
  • Step #4 Add the cream to the yolks, & add the milk, & a pinch of nutmeg, vanilla, fold in the egg whites, Bourbon, if desired.
  • Step #5 Chill in freezer before serving.
  • Step #6 Serve eggnog In a large-ish punch bowl.
