Company Liver With Onions Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/8 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 1 1/2 lbs calf's liver
  • 1/2 c butter
  • 2 c sour cream
  • 1 (8 oz) can mushrooms, with liquid
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions
  • Step #1 In a large skillet, melt butter over medium high heat.
  • Step #2 Cook & stir onions until tender, about 7 mins.
  • Step #3 Spice up liver slices with salt & pepper, & add to the skillet.
  • Step #4 Brown liver slices, turning once, for approximately 5 mins.
  • Step #5 Pour in mushrooms with their liquid.
  • Step #6 Reduce heat, cover, & let simmer for 8 to 10 mins.
  • Step #7 Stir in sour cream & Worcestershire sauce, & continue simmering another 8 to 10 mins.
  • Step #8 Serve as soon as possible.
