Cincinnati Five-way Chili Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 tsp cumin .
  • 1 tsp allspice .
  • 2 tsps chili powder .
  • 1 c cheddar cheese, shredded .
  • 1 tsp cinnamon .
  • semisweet chocolate .
  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce .
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce .
  • 1 (15-19 oz) can red kidney beans, drained .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef .
  • 1 garlic clove, minced .
  • 2 large onions .
  • 1/4 tsp red peppers .
  • 1 (16 oz) package spaghetti .
  • 1 tbsp vinegar

Directions
  • Step #1 Reserve half of the sliced onion for serving with chili later.
  • Step #2 In skillet, over high heat, garlic, & remaining onion until all pan juices evaporate & meat is well browned, cook beef, stirring often.
  • Step #3 Stir in chili powder, allspice, cumin, cinnamon, red pepper, & salt; cook 1 min.
  • Step #4 Stir in tomato sauce, Worcestershire, vinegar, & 1/2 c water; over high heat to boiling.
  • Step #5 Reduce heat to low; cover & let simmer 1 hr, stirring every once in awhile.
  • Step #6 About 25 min before chili is ready, cook pasta as directed, breaking spaghetti in half before cooking; drain pasta.
  • Step #7 Serve spaghetti in bowls, onion, kidney beans, then top this with chili mixture, & finally shredded cheddar.
