Raspberry Cream Cheese Bars Recipe

Ingredients
  • 11 oz cream cheese, softened .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 1 1/2 c flour .
  • 1 (18 oz) jar red raspberry preserves .
  • 1 tsp vanilla .
  • 1 1/2 c quick-cooking oats .
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda .
  • 1/2 c sugar .
  • 2 eggs .
  • 1 c packed brown sugar .
  • 3/4 c butter or margarine, softened .
  • 1/3 c sliced slivered almonds

Directions
  • Step #1 In a mixing bowl, cream the butter & brown sugar.
  • Step #2 Combine the oats, flour, baking soda & salt; add to creamed mixture & mix well.
  • Step #3 Press 3/4 of the mixture into a greased 13x9 pan.
  • Step #4 Bake at 350 for 11-13 mins or until set & edges just begin to brown.
  • Step #5 Meanwhile, in a small mixing bowl, beat cream cheese & sugar.
  • Step #6 Add eggs & vanilla; mix well.
  • Step #7 Spread over crust.
  • Step #8 Drop preserves by spoonfuls over cream cheese mixture; carefully spread evenly.
  • Step #9 Combine almonds & remaining oat mixture; sprinkle it over preserves.
  • Step #10 Bake for 25-30 mins or until set & edges are golden brown.
  • Step #11 Cool before cutting.
  • Step #12 Store in refrigerator.
